On Tuesday, June 25th, we left Las Vegas and traveled back to Williams, Arizona, with a stop by the Hoover Dam along the way.
Public Service Announcement: At no point in this blog entry will I type the phrase “Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”
When we first planned this trip, our final destination was the Grand Canyon, with maybe a side trip to Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam before heading back home.
When people found out we were going to be in Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon, many of them told us the same thing: “You have to go see Sedona while you’re out there.”
The Grand Canyon can be seen a lot of different ways, but in the two days we visited it, we had two completely different experiences.
Saturday, June 15th was the day that we drove our last 200 or so miles and arrived at Williams, AZ, where we were scheduled to stay five nights and four days at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park.
Thursday and Friday, June 13th and 14th, were the days we set aside to sprint across Arkansas, Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle, and almost all of New Mexico.
